Hi all. Looking for recommendations for an aftershave for my son. He currently wears CK One, so something light, fresh and not too 'old' or overpowering please!

I think Joop! is very nice. It's fresh smelling, quite "young" without being unmanly... and most girls seem to love it.

Parques · 06/12/2017 23:13

Thank you sausages. I will give it a sniff! :-)

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male! I LOVE that. I buy it for DH every year. He sometimes suggests trying different ones so I will buy those.... along with a bottle of JPG le male!

DS17 likes Ralph Lauren Polo or Calvin Klein Eternity.

rachelracket · 06/12/2017 23:41

DP likes 'bluebeards revenge' which i must say is quite inoffensive

OCSockOrphanage · 07/12/2017 09:48

DS18 chose Penhaligon Opus 1870 for himself. It's spicy and warm, masculine, and rather more sophisticated than he is!

ihatethecold · 07/12/2017 09:49

Zara do looks very men’s aftershaves.
Not too pricey and overpowering.
I buy my son one each year.

Parques · 07/12/2017 09:52

Thanks all. looks like I'm off to John Lewis at the weekend! Smile

lovely not looks very!

Joop and Jean Paul Gaultier mentioned upthread are a bit out dated now. I remember boyfriends wearing them 15 years ago! Depends how trendy your DS is Wink.

CheapSausagesAndSpam · 07/12/2017 10:24

Oh out dated my bottom. My nephew wears Joop and he's a very fashionable lad of 20. He likes the SMELL and not the label.

3catsandcounting · 07/12/2017 10:57

Not a branded one, but my 18yo wears
NX from Next; it's divine. Might even buy some myself.Smile

ephemeralfairy · 07/12/2017 11:22

Hugo Boss Bottled is nice. Also Lacoste White.

DueNov · 07/12/2017 11:24

Jean Paul gaultier and anything paco rabanne

MyKidAreTakingMySanity · 07/12/2017 12:23

Shock Blasphemy! Jean Paul Gaultier doesn't age. It's the most amazing smell on a man ever Wink

It's a yummy now as it was 15 years ago 😂

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 07/12/2017 13:27

I don’t dispute that they told smell good, merely stating that there are more appealing fragrances for teenage boys. JPG will soon be the Old Spice of our generation.

Killerfiller · 07/12/2017 13:39

One million Pacco rabanne.

A firm winner for all men.

Versace have a couple of nice ones. Eau Fraiche and Versace Pour Homme, both pale blue bottles. Obviously sniff before you buy, but they're fresh and zingy. Avoid Dylan Blue in the darker blue bottle; it's not bad but it's one of those clubbing scents (like Paco Rabanne One Million) that are more designed for going out.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue? It's seen as a summer scent because it's fresh, but I'm pretty sure you can get it all year round.

Left-field option: Guerlain Homme. It's a very nice, fresh green scent. Limes and vetiver, but not overpowering at all. Energetic and quite elegant, but in a way that definitely wouldn't be out of place on an 18 year old at all. Perhaps a little unusual; his friends almost certainly won't have it. Might be a bit more expensive.

Kenworthington · 07/12/2017 13:54

My teen boys wear
Versace blue jeans (bonus is it’s dead cheap!)
Versace Eros
Gaultier Le male
Million
Lacoste blanc
Ralph Lauren polo
