Off to a fancy wedding on the 23rd - have a dress I love but it’s decidedly on the clingy side. What is the best shapewear for nipping in waist and smoothing over bottom on those of a slightly larger persuasion (size 18ish)? I used to have a brilliant corset thing with metal type reinforcements round the waist but it died a few years ago, and any shapewear I’ve bought since seems to smooth out the bumps but also compresses me into a sort of barrel shape which is decidedly unflattering. Very grateful for any recommendations, especially if they are available to purchase online!
