Rocket Dog Boots

Hi all,

I'm eyeing up these boots and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them, or Rocket Dog in general. I have very slim legs so struggle with non fitted for me (think Ted and Muffy) boots but want something more casual cheaper to wear over skinny jeans and thick tights. Would anyone happen to know if these are reasonably normal fitting, wider or slimmer?

Rocket dog always come up quite wide fitting ime and while they look good, they aren't the quality that the price would suggest. I do like them though, have had loads, but they don't last more than a season.

LadyFlumpalot · 02/12/2017 11:32

Oh really? That's disappointing. For £60 I'd expect a good lot of use out of them. Ah well, off to continue the search. Thank you!

Not sure about these ones but I have a million pairs of rocket dog boots and shoes and pumps as they mound to my feet.
I'm a size 5 foot quite flat footed so a little wide but not to bad. I can also get my cankles in rocket dogs. Grin
I don't have massive lower calves but they've never been a tight uncomfortable fit nor have they been too loose and floppy.
Loves rocket dogs I do Grin

I had those boots, loved them and wore them to death... but within 9 months. Got another pair and the same happened. You could get them reheeled by a cobbler before wearing then though - a good sole would massively extend their life and not tripping up constantly so the pretend leather wears off the toes.

LadyFlumpalot · 02/12/2017 11:44

I do that too, @altkat! Trip over and scuff the toes to shreds! General consensus then is ok, likeable but not the best quality. Amazon do free returns, it is tempting.

Have a look at Ugg Wilcox boots - not like normal ones so don't worry 😀

ferrier · 02/12/2017 11:49

I have several pairs of Rocket Dogs - not that style, mine are suede - they get worn day in and day out and still look great. Love them.
As for size, I have widish feet but slim ankles and legs and they fit me well.

venellopevonschweetz · 02/12/2017 11:51

I've got a pair that I've had about 4 years and they still look like new

LadyFlumpalot · 02/12/2017 15:04

Well they are on my Xmas wish list so we'll see Smile can't justify the cost right now so soon before Xmas.

Those Ugg Wilcox are rather lovely as well!

Look at mandmdirect op , they sell rocket dog boots cheaply.

picklemepopcorn · 02/12/2017 15:24

The6 are a bit variable. I had the comfiest pair in the world, but they only did one winter because the heel crumbled. I got a refund, though! They are in the amazon sale, I think.

BarryTheKestrel · 02/12/2017 15:30

I highly recommend fly London boots. My rocket dogs wore through very quickly. I'm 2 years into my fly London boots now, I wear them at least once a week spring and summer and then daily to work and socialise autumn/winter. They are comfy, look good and seem to last without even looking worn. I love them!

Ollivander84 · 02/12/2017 15:52

Ugg Wilcox are what I've just bought. Feel very sturdy and comfortable

gaggiagirl · 02/12/2017 15:58

Mandmdirect are great for ugg boots. You will get longer wear from them.
If you have an original factory shop nearby they sell loads of rocket dog boots for cheaper.

LadyFlumpalot · 27/01/2018 09:29

Just revisiting this to let you know that I didn't get the rocket dog boots in the end. A friend has them so I tried them on and they were far too big around my legs, looked like melted wellies Grin

However, in a quest to find cheap boots I went to the The Original Factory Shop as suggested upthread and fell in love with a pair of Wrangler boots instead. £55 reduced from £90.

So, thank you all you wonderful stylish ladies!

Ive got those boots, they're super comfy. They are probably a half size bigger than I need but it's not a problem. I've got skinny legs and they're ok on me, I suppose because they're meant to look slouchy.

goose1964 · 27/01/2018 11:33

My daughter bought a pair last winter and they wore out. She wore them everyday though
