Do you wear a coat over your jacket?

Just wondering really, how do people wear jacket on top of a sleveless dress when it's cold? Do they put the coat on top of the jacket, or carry the jacket and wear it when they take off the coat, or just not wear this combination at all?

I'd never wear a sleevless dress in the winter UNLESS it were an evening dress and in that case, I'd have a dressy jacket on top which would come off at the venue.

I would probably be wearing a top/jumper under the sleeveless dress with the jacket. If it's coat weather it is not light-weight sleeveless dress weather !

Most people who wear a suit to work would wear a coat over the top

I wear a work jacket daily and have no problems wearing a coat on top. A suit jacket isn’t warm enough for this weather. Neither is a blazer
