Faux fur coats - yay or nay?

I've also fancied having a faux fur coat/jacket but they always look a bit bulky on me. And I can't decide if they look tacky or not.

Anyway I have bought this:

It had gone down to £64 over Black Friday weekend.

But I can't decide. It is nice and cosy but not sure. Opinions please?

I like it, but it would look far too bulky on me as I'm an 8 and just over 5foot, don't think it's tacky at all, I have a cropped one which I've had for 11 years and I love it, v warm and snugly on the bit it covers!

Sorry should have said I am a size 12 (occasionally a 10!), 5'3".

I did wonder about getting something a bit shorter, more jacket-length rather than coat...but it won't be as warm which sort of defeats the object.

I can't access your link as you suggest shorter might work better. Whistles have really nice ones you can get them for a good price on EBay or wait for the sales.

It looks fluffy and so comfy. If its your right size, go for it. Personally, I love its length.

I love it. I have five faux fur coats, which come out year after year. My favourite one is a Whistles one like zaraw suggests, but it’s much longer and what I would describe as a true midi length.

Faux fur coats are a yay from me - I have a mid-thigh-length dark grey one from Warehouse which I bought a couple of years ago. Jacket length is good, because I can wear it over pretty much anything, and it doesn't swamp me.

I can't see your link, but the description says "midi", which to me is mid-calf!
