It's dh's 40th at the weekend and we are going to a fancy hotel then having a party. So I treated myself to false lashes, they look awful. I look like a drag queen. And they hurt, they are so uncomfortableI can just feel the glue and it feels sharp It's acrylic nails all over again. I can;t get them off, they last about 2 weeks apparently. I can see them all the time, they are probably going to give me a migraine as I get migraines when I see things in my periphery.

Does ayone know anything I can do to soften the glue a bit at least.
I now have 3 12 hour shifts in a row so can do nothing about it, and they rub on the inside of my glasses. These are apparently natural medium length. Glad I didn;t go for not natural.

I think you are not supposed to put oil near them or they will fall out so that could work. Maybe baby oil and cotton wool. Sorry to hear they havent turned out well. Mine are so comfy barely notice I'm wearing them.

They come off if you rub them (gently! ) with coconut oil.

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 27/11/2017 18:17

Facial cleansing oil are work it into the glue. Not being rude OP but we're they done by someone proper?

They shouldn’t be like that! Sounds like a cowboy job.

Hot bath, lots of water on them and lots of steam. Oily make up remover on cotton wool pads.

Have you asked anyone else what they think? When I first got mine done it was a shock but no one else really noticed! If you want them off then use anything oil based and gently rub into the base of the lashes. Doing this for the next few nights and they should come off. Could you trim them?

ButteredScone · 27/11/2017 18:32

Hold on!!!

I felt like that the first time I had them. But after that they are amazing. Don't rub or pull or take them off yet. Wait til tomorrow at least.

Ok so I rubbed so coconut oil on the actual lashes and the skin around and it doesn't hurt now and dh says they look better, less sticking straight out and more properly shaped. Thanks
