Comfiest Uggs or other boots?

I'm looking for a super comfy hard wearing everyday boot, I spend a lot of time at work standing outside in all weathers so comfort is really more important than style. I don't live near any Ugg stockists so was hoping someone here may already own/have tried any of the following. I like the look of the simmens best. I would just order all three and return the ones I don't like but my credit card has taken a bit of a battering of late! Open to other suggestions too. I'm quite short so prefer a shorter boot really and would prefer black.

I find ecco very comfortable and would recommend them.

I love my Ugg boots but I’ve waterproofed my uggs but even then they aren’t brilliant in wet/snow.

There is an Ecco shop near me, I've never been in so will take a look. Interesting to hear about the uggs not being great in the wet, I do need them for all conditions. I've had some fab merrells in the past but not keen on any of this years.

I got a lovely pair of waterproof walking boots from ecco. Honestly they already so comfortable I not planning to shop in any other shoe shop ever again

The stoutest boots I've ever owned are Ugg Wilcox in last years' sales. £48 a pair and I bought both colours. They're snow proof, ice proof, rain proof and I can happily spend a day prancing about Legoland in them without getting achy feet. If you can find some on sale buy them immediately.

I love those last ones! I think the not great in water thing is for the classic ones, the ones like slippers. I'm also short and have small feet, and just bought some children's uggs, they are so comfy and warm and I love them already.

Oh, and they were only £60, callum boots, they go up to a 5.

Fitflop mukluks are warm and comfortable. Good for your feet too. I think they’re on sale at the moment.

I bought the Ugg Simmens recently and I love them. There was a thread about them on here recently too if you search for it.

I find them initially hard to put on, as I have high insteps, but once on very comfortable.

I think some people find them small because they're hard to get on. The sizing is 4.5, 5.5 etc...I'm a small 4 and the 4.5 fits perfectly...once I've got them on

I have the Simmons boots. I don’t love the way they look, but they are comfy and waterproof. I tend to wear them to walk to work and change when I get there. I had to go up a size, which the assistant in Schuh said was common.

I have Dr Martens in the Pascal leather which is very soft so doesn't take your ankles off as you wear them in! I've jumped in puddles (with the children!) and remain dry.

The Simmens are very nice!

Avoid Fly by all accounts - v.comfortable but not supposed to be waterproof

I also have Caterpillar in the Mardy Fur (think Anna is the more modern one if they still do them) which have been an incredible boot - tromped through deep snow for miles!

They are mid calf but I have an ankle version too.

Went to order the simmens, in a 4 and a 5 as can't tell from various reviews which size to go for, but then saw a couple of reviews saying the grip wasn't great, very slippery in wet weather, so that's put me off again.

Think I'm going to have to head to nearest larger town at the weekend and actually try some on. Can't take too much longer as my current boots (waterproof children's Gabor boots, sooo comfy but so old Gabor no longer make children's shoes, and their women's are a bit too dainty) are finally falling to bits.

Look at Celtic and Co - lovely Cornish company; way, way better quality than Uggs, and made in the UK. Am wearing a pair today that have been going for eight years!

Broken, I've had these celtic and co boots on a pinterest board for over a year, love them, but never in stock in my size!

I quite like these too, but not sure the length would suit my short legs.

Should add, although I'm looking at ugg, I don't want the sheepskin look ones, I want a more structured leather or suede, like the ones I posted, so although the celtic and co sheepskin are lovely I'd be looking more at their other boots.

Woodsman and Warrior are both amazing, I have an earlier version (still going after 6 or 7 years). I'm 5'4 and think they are fine - because they are relatively wide at the top they seem to be very flattering. Try them!
