If you have this zara coat- are the side pockets real?

Bought this today m.zara.com/uk/en/long-oversized-puffer-coat-p08338271.html?v1=4891101&v2=499002
I know it’s not stylish but it is soooooo warm. Thing is the side pockets are stitched a bit. I’m not sure if they are supposed to be cut and used as pockets or not?
This is an entirely practical purchase so I need to be able to keep my hands warm in pockets.
Any idea?

Links often don’t work in OPs. Hope this does.

I’d cut the pockets free. The listing says it has pockets.

JoJoSM2 · 26/11/2017 16:50

Exactly, just cut them open if they're currently stitched up.

It's very common for coats and jackets to have sewn up pockets. It's to keep the garment in top condition. I always thought fake pockets were pointless until I discovered that 99% of the time they're not actually fakes Grin

Thank you! I shall free them up and stay toastie!

(Ugly coat I know- it couldn’t be further from what I would normally want but it feels like being wrapped up in a snuggly duvet- at£49.99 seems a bit of a bargain too!)
