Safety Razors

First off, I remove bodily hair as a personal preference and I'm not going to change that, secondly, I've tried other forms of hair removal with various bad and disappointing results.

So in an effort to reduce waste I googled alternatives to disposable razors and the suggestion of a safety razor came up, along with lots of advice on how to shave your legs with it. Does anyone use one and also use it on their underarms and bikini line/vulva, I can imagine it being more dangerous on these areas?

No but I have also got one for the same reason. I have yet to try it as currently working my way through disposable ones I had.

My plan is to start on shins etc to see how I get on before trying tricky places like back of knee/ankle bone/ vulva etc.

I'm sure it might be a nervous journey but hopefully worth it.

Thanks Methenyou that sounds like a good idea, hope you get on ok!

Thought about this recently but I don’t shave much-underarms mostly but they’re pretty hairy right now! Normally a twice yearly wax in legs & thats it. Just looked at an independent review & all the recommendations are £££ which puts me off

buckee I probably currently spend about £3 a month on disposables and have read the initial bit is expensive but then the razors themselves are very cheap. A leg wax would only last me about 2 weeks, I'm very hairy!

As a teen I used my dad's safety razor all the time for my legs and armpits, just put my own blade in. It wasn't "dangerous" at all. I didn't realise you could still buy the blades, otherwise I would still be using one.
