Hello, I am asking my DH to get me a briefcase for Christmas. I'd like something elegant, big enough for laptop and some paperwork, fake leather and around £200-£250. Any recommendations?

Question: why fake leather? Is it somehow better or is it for ethical reasons or for cost reduction?

Out of all your suggestions, ethical suits best. I'm aiming for less animal based products and food in my life.

If you were asking about any other sort of bag I’d suggest Matt&Nat, but I don’t think they do any briefcases.... I use a little wheely laptop case for work because my poor back and I carry so much around! I think you’ll struggle to be honest as high end briefcases are basically all leather, but interested to see if anyone comes up with something.

For some reason I can’t link, but wonder if something like this vintage briefcase from Etsy might work? Or indeed Etsy in general might be a good place to look. Not as high end as you want but not leather, very classy.
