Anyone with experience of Zalando delivery and returns?

Keen to order some shoes from them, and I see they have free returns, but a bit put off by the fact that you can't just take the parcel to the post office if you need to return and have to use Hermes instead (either trek to the closest return point or wait in for them to collect). Has anyone used them before - was it a good or bad experience? In my experience Hermes have always been hell on earth to deal with, so I'm always a bit put off by companies who use them. Undecided whether to risk it...

I've used Zalando and I like them. Returns are slightly more faff than going to the PO but not too bad. I've always received a prompt refund. And I've told off Hermes a few times for chucking parcels over the gate!

I've used them a lot, never had a problem with returns. I love home pick ups saves me waiting in PO queue.

Never had any problems - Zalando returns are good. Our Hermes parcelshop is in our local Budgens which I use for returns. Do have a lot of stuff delivered via Hermes and they're brilliant. Guess it depends where you live.

Very good service, only thing is that they dispatch from Germany (I believe, can’t 100% remember which country but not UK) so you might wait a few days longer for it to arrive or a refund to process

Swizzlesticks23 · 23/11/2017 15:15

They are good it doesn't take long.

AnaViaSalamanca · 23/11/2017 15:22

very bad experience, package torn, dumped outside, one time also handed to "sarah", and I had to run around for a month proving to them I am actually not holding the items and asking for refund. Very poor customer service.

Swizzlesticks23 · 23/11/2017 15:32

That's the courier not zalando

Dreamqueen · 23/11/2017 16:07

I really like Zalando. I use the click & collet service & find dropping off returns much easier than waiting in for them. refunds have been dove v quickly too.

relaxitllbeok · 23/11/2017 16:14

Like it. Are you sure a Hermes parcel shop is less convenient for you than a post office? In my area, there are more of them, open longer hours.

mrsmildred · 23/11/2017 16:36

I think they are great and use them loads for all the family, and find delivery no slower than normal considering it comes from Germany (mostly). My local Hermes drop off is also no less convenient than taking it to the PO, about the same distance away. You can use them as a delivery point too if you don't trust your parcel to be left in a safe place at your home. Open later usually too.

One point is that prices are not fixed for some reason, they fluctuate, and go in and out of various promotions. Worth using the wish list and keep an eye on stuff as you may find it get cheaper suddenly.

AnaViaSalamanca · 23/11/2017 16:51

the torn package, yes, courier, but dealing with it once I called them, and on the other when the package was lost/stolen, insinuating that I actually have kept the item and am trying to get a refund, nope, that is zalando itself :-)

Arcadia · 23/11/2017 17:15

I have used them several times and found them to be excellent. Good returns. The items I have bought there are commented on by people, and they never seem to have heard of Zalando so I feel a bit sophisticated!

brogueish · 23/11/2017 17:18

Have both ordered and returned and never had a problem. I've always found them to be very quick and efficient.

And also you don't have to queue.
