Skinny jeans for an 11 year old

Where can I get skinny jeans or leggings for a tall slim 11 year old? She wants them to not flap about her ankles, and they all do. Have tried the River Island Molly jeans as they were described as super skinny but they were more like 'relaxed fit' as they don't really sit close to her legs, iykwim, and I can fit my whole hand in the gap at the bottom. H&M are better but still too loose. None of the supermarket ranges or Primark fit, as they are so loose around the waist that they fall down (or we tighten the elastic and they look like a drawstring bag).

She is slender and muscular rather than skinny, so I can't understand why it is so hard to find clothes that fit.

What about new look

123rd · 22/11/2017 16:42

Can't remember the exact name of them but topshop do some that fitted my V slim dd. ( she isn't very tall tho so may not be as good a fit for your dd

Top tip though. Try on instore then have a look on eBay for the same. So much cheaper

LadyGlitterSparkl · 22/11/2017 16:44

H&M

BubblesBuddy · 22/11/2017 16:44

Zara. Always fit skinny children. More fashion forward than some stores too. Gap? Worth a look.

LemonysSnicket · 22/11/2017 16:45

Theyll be too loose because she hasbt got adult/late teen hips and calf muscles.
Would she wear jeggings?

Catmint · 22/11/2017 16:47

The new look teen range. Spray on!

Hoppinggreen · 22/11/2017 16:48

Top shop
My slim but muscular DD gets all her jeans from there

treaclesoda · 22/11/2017 16:50

I think she would wear jeggings but we haven't had much success with those either.

I always thought Zara were very slim fitting but the last time we were there she tried on a pair of trousers that were age 11 and she stood up and they fell to the ground like clown trousers! Grin Having said that, they weren't jeans, so I might take her back to Zara for a look at the jeans.

New Look might be good although the problem with there is that an awful lot of their jeans are ripped and/or decorated in some way and its hard to find plain ones.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

Do Top Shop do a range for that age the same way as River Island do?

I haven't been in the shop for ages and I had a quick look on the website the other day and didn't see anything, but I might well just have missed it.

Zara here too and some hand me down All Saints. Similar build, same age, I think we have to buy a size or two up for the length but they fit fine. Not too tight, not too loose.

slalomsuki · 22/11/2017 17:02

Top shop are the best in my opinion. You can buy them by the waist size and length in most combinations and style. My 5ft 7 11 year old DD has to get them from there.

Hoppinggreen · 22/11/2017 17:22

No but they go down to a size 4 petite so should be ok

haarlandgoddard · 22/11/2017 20:17

Does she not just need a smaller size? Topshop Joni jeans are the ones that are very slim fitting, they’re more like jeggings.
