Any suggestions for what I should have done?

I'm off to get my hair dyed tomorrow, by a trainee in a high end salon in town. I asked her if it would be possible to do something "funky " with my hair, though I am not even sure what I mean by that, except that I hope for more than one colour. I said that I was therefore happy to consider any suggestions she might have. My hair is 4/5 dyed black, with 1/5 Grey regrowth. I know that it is virtually impossible to do anything with dyed black hair without stripping it, which I am not convinced she will want or have time to do..so probably she will have to work around the black..any suggestions for what I could potentially get done? I have no objections to anything except blond, no blond please, other than that it's all good.

Eek - it sounds like a colour correction job, which Imdon’t think you’ll get done by a trainee

Does she know you want more than one colour? And did she do a skin test?
I saw someone who had just the underneath red and the top was black. Looked really good. Maybe that wouldn't be too difficult/take too long?

Yes, she knows that I want more than one co!our, and that I have black dye on it, I explained it all to her. She didn't offer to do a patch test, which did occur to me. It is a very posh salon (expensive), so I would hope she/they would know what they were doing.
