Most beautiful winter coat recommendations

Kabex · 21/11/2017 12:40

I'm looking for a new winter coat, probably wool but I am open to suggestions.

Brands and fits I like :
Sandro
Jigsaw
Reiss

Something classical and 'feminine', maybe a belted waist.
I would love to explore more brands and find more clothes that suit my style preferences.

If you've got any suggestions I would love to hear

TKMax have a beautiful black wool coat from Jeager which I am trying to resist buying. It’s a wrap style with a tie belt. I saw it in store and it is so soft....

How much do you want to spend? If you have a large budget, go directly to MaxMara.

Nettletheelf · 21/11/2017 13:11

Marella is the cheaper MaxMara label, still gorgeous quality and still quite expensive to be frank, but Marella coats, unlike MaxMara coats, are not usually £1k plus!

Nothing beats a vintage (40s/50s) princess coat for that look you are after. Google Lilli Ann coats for the style I mean: belted, deeply gorgeous. Horribly expensive but built to last! Mine is one of the most treasured items in my wardrobe.

pamelastone · 21/11/2017 20:52

I brought one from Houseoffraser and it was fantastic!

Kabex · 22/11/2017 22:18

Love those recommendations of the Lilli Ann style coat and Marella by MaxMara. Thank you, will get on the task of those right away

Max Mara is definitely best bet if you have the budget.

I just bought a beautiful Vivienne Westwood from TK Maxx. Worth a look

JaceLancs · 23/11/2017 00:20

I’ve just bought my 4th jaeger coat - sadly can’t afford maxmara

PNGirl · 23/11/2017 10:15

I've just bought a slightly different version of this from Burberry at Bicester Village.

Depends on your budget. But you know the chic ones are no cheaper. MaxMara got some good ones but if your'e on a tight budget you still have lots of brands to choose from. Good luck! :)

Zoesweet · 23/11/2017 11:06

TKMax for me. They got good designs and really looks classy.

I've just ordered this one from Phase 8. It hasn't arrived yet, but it's beautifully soft and nicely unstructured. Just keeping fingers crossed it'll suit me when it arrives tomorrow!

chemenger · 23/11/2017 15:42

I bought the Jaeger coat too, I don’t often yearn for clothes but I did really want it! It hasn’t been delivered yet. I have another Jaeger coat that has lasted really well so I have no doubt I will get good use out of it. I’m so glad I spotted it.

I don’t know what happened there! I was going to say that it might be worth trying another branch if there is one close enough. I wasn’t sure about mine with the belt done up but I do like it undone. I very seldom do coats up anyway, so that isn’t a problem.
