Long line flattering jumper

I've just bought some faux leather leggings and need some knitwear to go with . I'm thinking either black , beige or olive in colour . However I'm a 12 hourglass so need something that doesn't make me look a sack of spuds . Everything I've googled is really baggy . I don't want something tight either though .

Holy grail is v neck longline that is shaped ????has anyone seen anything or recommend what you wear with leather leggings .

What about a longline carigan? I'm also an hourglass and despite worrying they might be a bit mumsy I'm thrilled with my Kettlewell long cardis. A few belted ones on sale here: www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk/products/clearance/item/sasha-belted-cardi
Not in the sale, not belted: www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk/products/jackets-wraps/item/merino-wrap
Tunics (to avoid the sack of spuds effect): www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk/products/knitwear/item/merino-tunic

Urgh, that should say cardigan of course.

I am a size 12 apple so have similar challenges with knitwear; I need a fine knit with a v neck otherwise I look huge.

Try the Hush Stella jumper (pricey) or H&M (less pricey!). The Stella jumper is so lovely. I use the H&M app which has good filters to help with searching. I bought a light grey v neck from there recently which is v flattering.

I'm in leather leggings with my new Cos Navy A line jumper. Covers the bum and tum beautifully. The pictures on the website aren't very good IMHO

TricksyLiesmith · 21/11/2017 14:37

Thanks for ideas so far . Belted cardigans can be hit and miss on me although those you suggested possum are not too bulky .

I actually had a Stella jumper a while ago but it developed a while in the middle of the start annoyingly.

I like the cos jumper . Agree it looks nothing on the way it's styled on the website ! I think that shape but more scooped or v neck would be great . It definitely needs to be bum skimming !

The Kettlewell cardis are a nice silky, weighty knit so they don't float and ruche everywhere, they hang nicely.

Like you I've got a bit of a jones for some textured trousers and a few pairs of Esprit coated jeans are winging their way to me as I write. Smile So I'm with you on the bum covering issue.

Sorry meant v necks!

Abijam · 21/11/2017 15:23

Looking great. Love the leather leggings. The top matches perfectly with it.

How about Uniqlo?

RickOShay · 21/11/2017 20:21

miissfliss could I ask where you got your leather leggings from?
You look greatGrin

missfliss · 21/11/2017 20:43

Thank you Rickoshay - I got them from Baukjen using the mumsnet 15% discount, they are dark wine coloured. I definitely need long tops with them though.

If money was no object I'd buy another pair in another colour - I wear them loads, they've been a great purchase in that respect.

I've 3 long jumpers to wear including the cos one pictured. I've also got 3 longer length shirts and 2 long length Jersey tops from hush. I've also got a lot camisole top and cardi too.

TricksyLiesmith · 21/11/2017 21:07

Wow @missfliss that jumper looks great with the leggings . Just the right length too .

The leggings I have are a very dark green - olive I think , so a black or sandy colour would look great .
