I’m 36 and have been doing slimming world for a while so haven’t bought many new clothes, just some casual tops and jeans and a couple of dresses and trousers for work. I Have only really started going out again now dd is older and I just find I look online for a top to wear and I haven’t a clue where to start! Can anyone recommend a website or personal shopping service they’ve found really useful. What are your ‘go to stores’? Thanks.

John Lewis stock a huge variety of brands so you can have a look at what they offer and see what makes you like. Ditto with House of Fraser.

As for stand alone sites, Mint Velvet do lots of tops that go with jeans and I think Massimo Dutti are excellent. Warehouse and Mango may be of interest too.

I still like oasis and warehouse but also phase eight do some lovely things (just avoid mother of the bride stuff!). Friends have done Debenhams personal shopper too. In a big store they have a very wide range. Congrats on the weight loss & happy shopping xx

myusernameisnotmyusername - what kind of style do you like? I think it's far easier to determine the style or the look first (casual, sporty, elegant, street wear, vintage and so on) and take it from there. Or, think of outfits you might need need for certain occasions/activities. Once you know your own style I think it will be easier to find shops that sell the clothes you like and want. All the best.

Hello thanks for all replies- sorry I haven't answered yet. So I like a kind of dressy but casual look. Skinny jeans, nice tops, dresses with a nipped in waist and ankle boots or converse (not with a dress!). But mostly I seem to have lost my sense of style. I'm not sure what really suits my figure anymore which is big boobs, smallish waist, big hips and thighs and a big bum! So hourglass/pear. 5 foot 5 inches. I used to do lots on my arms in the gym so they aren't the skinniest! Hope that helps!

Debenhams is the best as they always provide a high quality stuff.
