Janome Sewing machines 25% off in John Lewis

Following on from the thread about making your own clothes, now is the time to buy one! A few of the Janome-made, John Lewis own brand machines are also 25% off.

And can someone who knows about these things advise me whether to go for the 7025 (which is exactly the same as the 525s) or the Decor Excel 5024?

Anyone? I have had a hankering for a sewing machine for ages...!

I have the sewing machines direct version of the 525s and I love it! It's a bit fancier than a beginner machine but still very easy to use. I just quilted an advent calendar with zero issues. Sorry can't comment on the other one!

I also have the 525s and I love mine too. It's a nice machine - feels solid, reasonably quiet to use, a good range of features. Highly recommended.
