Hi, does anyone have one of these. They have quite a range in varying styles and colours, and some in the sale.
In anyone has one, how do you find fit and quality (and warmth!).
Thanks!

I have an ultralight jacket, but it is VERY light. I wouldn't have it as a winter coat. I also have a stretch down coat, which I love. Light weight and toasty warm. But the fabric isn't terribly robust - dog jumped on me the other day and the fabric has pulled in multiple place. (pissed off!). I tried the one where there is no stitching on the outside (can't remember what it's called), but it was a bit sack like. I'm a 14 with big boobs and take a large. Overall, I think they are a good buy for the price for daily wear - I wouldn't wear them for anything serious - e.g. Hillwalking/going skiing (dreams) etc.

The feather filled ones we have pack up really small and they are light. so we take them as an extra layer to wear under a coat when we are skiing... Think they would be nice for warm autumn or spring days, otherwise as an under layer. Quality ok but very good for the cheap price. Fit is ok, great for kids I would say.

Ok, not quite what I was hoping for, sounds like I could get more warmth for my money!

I’ve got an Ultralight Down parka and I love it but I wouldn’t rely on it as a winter coat, it’s not warm enough for when it’s properly cold. And it’s not at all waterproof.

Lands’ End are very good for reasonably priced, extremely warm coats.

The Mountain Warehouse and Decatholon, both outdoor companies, stock a good price range of down jackets. There's a range of outdoor brands that are more appropriate for the colder weather. Uniqlo us good but is more of a fashion brand than an all weather clothing company.

I got this the other day, but in mustard. I luffs it so much! And it's so warm! And only £49. Best jacket I've ever bought Grin

They are fab as an extra layer under things (like wool winter coats or packable a macs) or as just in case coat that you can stick in your bag or the boot of the car in case you need it. They are water resistant not waterproof and they aren't windproof They are about as warm as a really decent thick fleece and wearability wise very similar. I can persuade DD to take one in her bag "just in case" when she's hideously underdressed for the weather which makes them a winner in my eyes.

Tog 24 packable down is warmer and packs into its own pocket which is more practical. If you can stretch to them they are better

I returned my Uniqlo coat and and bought Lands End one as it seemed more robust and warmer...still going strong 5 years on. They will be having bigger discounts I think but currently 20%ish off and 50% off gilets today.

My kids and I have Uniqlo jackets and they are great for autumn. I wear mine under other coats as it's light and warm.
