Perfume help!

I want some perfume for Christmas but I’m totally miffed as to what to buy.

My husband is happy to spend whatever I like but obviously if I buy an expensive one then I might not get as many other presents.

I really like Chanel mademoiselle but I also like some of the next scents.
Am I better off buying a 3 set of the next scents and wearing them and seeing which one I like or should I just get the Chanel one?
Basically I’m asking do you get what you pay for with perfume or am I just paying for expensive packaging and marketing campaigns?

I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I find that perfumes wear off really quickly on me, less so the expensive ones... and I find Chanel to have especially good staying power.

Hmm interesting.
We can afford the Chanel one, I’m just tight Blush

Get the Chanel one.

I think you get what you pay for.

And I am also a fan of the matching body moisturisers as I find the perfume lasts pretty much all day on me.

My favourite EDP was Chanel Mademoiselle until I was bought Jimmy Choo EDP, I have many compliments on it!

Sentientcushion · 19/11/2017 22:47

Oh interesting.

Has anyone tried the next perfumes?

I wear Sisley Eau du Champagne mainly, a daytime country fresh fragrance. Also Eau De Sisley No.2 & No. 3...I also like Clarins Eau Dynamisante. All about £60 a bottle. No 3 and the Clarins are going out fragrances. £60 is a considered purchase, I buy it myself.

if you can afford the Chanel without worrying about money for essential things, then buy the Chanel. You could buy the next perfumes anytime but your husband wants to treat you to something nice and luxurious because you are lovely and deserving. Chanel all the way

Aw that’s nice menace my husband was a bit Hmm when I said I was going to get the next ones.
We can afford it but it just seems an obscene amount of money on something so frivolous, I used to live on less than that a week! It makes me feel sick to think of spending all that money, I don’t think I could look my former self in the eye. I know it sounds mad but it’s just like a block.

I'd say treat yourself - he wants to get you it

Scuttlefunge · 20/11/2017 00:02

Get the next ones then and spend forever moaning about how you wish you’d got the Chanel
