Hand bag large enough for laptop

GenericDietCola · 19/11/2017 21:13

Apologies if this has been done recently. I need a large bag for work that I can cart around my laptop and other essential items in. Not necessarily leather, but smart looking and ideally

I have this www.johnlewis.com/wenger-ana-15-6-laptop-tote-bag-black/p2667749

Good quality but a bit big (I am petite). I think will be nicer for a taller person. I still use it as haven’t found anything better for that budget.

TooMinty · 19/11/2017 21:37

Try Fossil?

LockedOutOfMN · 19/11/2017 21:38

Try Zara. I have many nice bags from there, all of which are capacious and have lasted well, but aren't expensive. I have a tote which cost only 20 € and is still going strong 3 years later; (it's even big enough for using as an overnight bag).

W1a · 19/11/2017 21:40

I have one from Zara. I’d love a fossil one but the one I wanted was £170 whilst Zara was £20 in the sale!
Or Oliver Bonas?

HRHPrincessMegan · 19/11/2017 21:41

Knomo have a wide range.

thekingfisher · 19/11/2017 21:45

KNOMO - they are great loads of different sizes and super practical and stylish

RubbishMantra · 19/11/2017 21:50

How about The Cambridge Satchel Company? They do all different sizes.

GenericDietCola · 19/11/2017 21:51

Thanks, looking these brands up!

Longchamp le Pilage. The long handled ones easily fit in a laptop, they're very lightweight and they're waterproof. I've used mine for work every single day since I got it, 5 years ago, and it looks like new. Oh and they're machine washable too.

Onynx · 19/11/2017 22:08

Look at the Vanchi brand or Storksak have a laptop bag too but a little more pricey.

TooMinty · 19/11/2017 22:18

Sorry, missed your price range when I suggested Fossil. Although I have had mine for 10 years and it is going strong so could be worth it in £ per use if you can stretch to it?

Maraki · 19/11/2017 22:20

I second Longchamp Le Pliage, the one with the large handles. It is not a coincidence that every other woman on the rush tube is carrying one! Big enough to fit everything and very light!

stayfit · 19/11/2017 22:30

I really like longchamp but don’t you need a laptop sleeve or something for protection?

PointeShoesAndTutus · 20/11/2017 07:35

Stayfit I do keep my laptop in a padded sleeve, but would do regardless of handbag - I don't trust my water bottle not to leak!

brogueish · 20/11/2017 11:08

I have a medium pliage neo (solid black with a crossbody strap) and it is so, so useful. Weighs nothing and can fit loads. Also - joy of joys - it is indeed machine washable and comes up looking new. I was hesitant about spending so much on a nylon bag but if anything happened to it, I would replace it in a heartbeat.

Longchamp Pliage Large Tote.... gorgeous.
