I know it's a weird one but in the run up to Black Friday I wondered if anyone knew of a website or app that:

  • You can save all web links on of items you want
  • they show you where you can buy the cheapest from

I have a list of things I want to buy on black fri (if discounted enough) but some items are sold in more than one place...

A bit like google shopping but on one page? (I know google shopping has its faults too)

You can set up alerts for items you're interested in and you get emails when they go on sale. It'll also find you the cheapest place to get the item from.

I've used it and found it worked - got a fantastic deal on a bag I wanted by buying from an Italian shop which Lyst sent me to.

I like Lyst but it has its limitations as you can only use it on sites they catalog and they send you bloody 20 emails a day with poor grammar in the title if you let them. I've heard Shoptagr is better, it's a plugin on your browser so it can be used with any shop. It will also store the size you want and give an immediate alert if it drops in price or at what % rate you want an alert. I haven't tried it yet though but with Black Friday coming up was going to start setting it up for that this weekend. I'm thinking the sale alerts may not work flawlessly on every site the same way the Google wishlists aren't all that great at tracking all prices but it's the most promising looking thing I've seen so far. Think there's also an app version.
