Nice bag instead of cotton shopper

Right, this is a great challenge for the bag experts!

When I’m down in that there London town for work, I use a large backpack for computer etc and then the absolute best thing for stuff I need to hand (water, wallet, stuff scarf & hat in if too hot, anything I buy eg lunch) is a scrappy cotton shopper bag.

So I’d like a nice version instead.

Key points:

Long handle to loop over shoulders I do not want to be holding it
Flat if there’s not much in it
Expandable when I want to shove more in it
Unfussy
Light
Looks smart for meetings
Not fussed on colour really - something bright / patterned would be fine

Any ideas??

Happy to spend up to £100 but cheaper would be better.

I came on to say Longchamp Le Pliage also.

Uk site. You see them everywhere, but I do love mine. uk.longchamp.com/pliage/product/9927

I’ve seen these and it’s really close - but the handles aren’t long enough so if you’re wearing a big coat etc you end up needing a hang to hold onto the handle ifswim??

I don’t have that problem with mine (I have the medium shopper). Could you get to a store and “try it on”?

Right I’ll give them another go then - will definitely try the longer handle that sounds like it should solve it for me!
