Help with finding a dress for wedding (as a guest) please

I would be really grateful if you could please help me with ideas for an outfit to wear to my friend's wedding. I live about 2 hours away from any major shopping centre and can't find anything locally and am getting overwhelmed trying to search online.

The wedding is in early January.

I am a size 12, pear shape, about 5 foot 11 tall.

I would like to find a knee length dress and I suit autumn colours the best.

Body shape wise I have quite large thighs and calves but have a fairly small bust.

(Not sure if this will mean anything to anyone, but I did have a style day with House of colour and am apparently an Ingenue Gamine).

Budget wise - I think that I could spend up to £150.00 however I would like to spend a lot less if possible.

Thank you for any thoughts you might have.

Do you know the blog "midlifechic"? I read her latest post last night and it's about Christmas dresses (all at least knee length etc) and they all look fairly suitable for a winter wedding. I thought some were nice although I'm not sure if they're the right colours for you. Might give you some ideas?

Sorry - don't know how to do nice neat links:

And I know you didn't say your age - just thought they were all a good length

Thank you both.

The blog has some good ideas and is also the right age range because I am 40.
