I’ve yet to find the PERFECT foundation and I fear that I never will Sad

I recently found a perfect daytime lipstick (MAC Velvet Teddy) but I cannot for the life of me find a perfect foundation.

What have you not found?

OP posts:
ChickenVindaloo2 · 17/11/2017 18:06

A high-SPF lipbalm with good colour.

OldJoseph · 17/11/2017 18:12

Tinted lip balm that stays put.

Product that gives volume to flat hair without making the texture strange

AmeliaFlashtart · 17/11/2017 18:20

Body lotion or hair conditioner. Always a bit too heavy or light or sticky or not quite moisturizing enough.

GinandGingerBeer · 17/11/2017 18:38

Thanks Moonamanda, will give it a go 🙂

PyrexDishes · 17/11/2017 18:44

Knickers that pull in the tummy, but that don't cut of blood supply to the groin.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 17/11/2017 18:52

A primer that actually makes my foundation last all day. And I found my perfect lipstick last year VB x Ester Lauder but it was a limited edition so can’t find anything like it to replace it

Cantthinkofanoriginalname1 · 17/11/2017 18:53

An anti-wrinkle cream that actually gets rid of wrinkles!

hollowtree · 17/11/2017 18:54

Concealer

FaFoutis · 17/11/2017 18:59

curl cream. Toni and Guy discontinued a perfect one years ago and I have tried everything since - it is all shit.

Hauntedlobster · 17/11/2017 19:04

A mascara that doesn’t wind up under my eyes but which also makes my eyelashes look good. I compromise with no 7 tubing one but although it doesn’t smudge, it doesn’t make them full.

BillyAndTheSillies · 17/11/2017 19:13

The perfect primer. Using urban decay de-slick at the moment. Whilst my make up doesn’t move while it’s on, if you leave it to settle a millisecond too long, you can’t even spread your foundation let alone blend it.

I found my foundation holy grail though - fenty!

CakesRUs · 17/11/2017 19:15

Anti snoring device for DH.

shouldaknownbetter · 17/11/2017 19:46

The perfect dark, sheer lip. Always too bright or too purply or too deep. Black honey almost lipstick comes close.

TokyoKyoto · 17/11/2017 19:57

Have never found a moisturiser that ticks all the boxes:

  • sinks in and leaves no waxy residue
  • doesn't pull the skin tight or sting
  • doesn't have a totally awful pervasive perfume

I'm using facial oil and super basic unperformed body lotion at the moment as literally no moisturiser can do the job Shock

thenewaveragebear1983 · 17/11/2017 20:12

Permanent hair removal that I can actually afford.
I have a Philips lumea but I can sense it's not actually making a difference really and the only other option is electrolysis which I can't really afford. Or justify.

littlemissneela · 17/11/2017 20:24

A deodorant/anti perspirant that actually works.

Hair curl cream that actually makes my curls curl and not go crispy as if I have gelled them.

DancingHouse · 17/11/2017 21:12

A blush for the summer. I have loads which suit my skin tone in the winter but none for the summer.

HectorAndKiki · 18/11/2017 09:21

An undereye corrector and concealer that doesn’t sit in wrinkles and make my undereye area look dry and lined.

monkeyblonde · 18/11/2017 09:24

Jeans, jeans, jeans....

PinkLipsDontLie · 18/11/2017 13:00

Jeans that will flatter my 8-10 waist and 12 bum and hips without sagging.
Wool coat (high wool content) with either hood or funnel neck that doesn't cost the earth and moon ie over 250quid and dòesnt look like a wool tent.
Flatish laceup boots that are not bulky and can be worn with skirts.

hollowtree try estee lauder double wear concealer.

littlemissneela try korres 48h deodorant.

ElspethFlashman · 18/11/2017 13:10

Haubtedlobster try the L'oreal Paradise one. It is 90% perfect, but marred by the fact it dries out after 5/6 weeks.

I'm hoping they'll sort that in the next version, you know Paradise Extreme or Paradise Nights or Paradise Goth or whatever it ends up being called. Wink

As it is, I buy when on 3 for 2 so it's cheaper.

FairyMcHairy · 18/11/2017 13:14

A black liquid eyeliner with a fine brush that will not budge but remove easily, and doesn’t look like nail varnish once it’s on.

oohmakeup · 18/11/2017 17:10

Jeans definitely.

mintmagnummm · 18/11/2017 18:49

Shampoo and conditioner!! One for coloured, dry, damaged hair that gets greasy the next day and an itchy scalp!! Mission impossible I tell ya!

What is this fenty you all speak of 🤔

Crusoe · 18/11/2017 18:55

A navy single breasted coat with hidden buttons.
