Help! Sensitive skin

My skin is so sensitive at the moment. Especially on my cheeks. I’m paring down my routine to the basics and am using a combination of Clarins and La Roche Posay. It hasn’t made much of a difference.

Sensitive types, what products work for you? Any recommendations?

It's such an individual thing.

I find when my skin is aggravated anything can upset it. Even water sometimes.

I go back to basics. I use coconut or olive oil to cleanse and water/muslin cloth to remove oil. I then go back to basics of nivea blue pot or Aveeno. I can't use Aveeno on my face for long without the risk of spots.

I limit makeup, watch what I use on my hands and hair and try not to touch my face too much.

My go-to is Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser, it’s the mildest thing to cleanse with and can be washed, tissued or warm cloth-ed off depending on what your skin can tolerate.
I’ve recently found Lush Celestial moisturiser which is lovely, it says it leaves a protective layer but I haven’t found that it interferes with putting make up in, just let it sink in a while first.

Thank you Beer. I haven’t tried cocunut oil so I may give that a go.

Kiehls is brilliant for me. Lots of great products but hard to recommend specific ones as it’s so personal. But I would say the staff in kiehls are excellent and will get the right product.

LRP Toleriane cleanser and night cream, and using Avene Cicafalte in the day works when my skin is feeling oversensitive!

Avene products and almond oil seem to work for me. Anything else including water can make it red and angry.

My skin is very sensitive. Most things annoy it. I can't even use avene or La Roshe stuff, too stingy and not nourishing enough. But my skin can be dry too.

I use Clinique take the day off cleansing balm with a hot cloth. It's in a big pot and because it has no fragrance or plant/flower based ingredients (these are worst for me) it works brilliantly.

Then I use either the blue aveeno skin relief on face if I'm short on cash or nuxe reve de miel face cream. The oats in aveeno seem to sooth my skin but I sometimes have to stick two layers on.

Sensitive skin is rubbish, I hope you find something that works for you.
