Winter wedding- Bfeeding dress needed!

keeppassingtheopenwindows1 · 15/11/2017 18:04

I have a wedding to attend and need a breast feeding friendly dress. I’m struggling! All the feeding dresses are maternity dresses! I am not back to my normal size yet and still have a wobbly tummy so need a flattering cut but not a maternity cut.

Can anyone suggest the best styles/ places to try for a dress that I can feed in and look nice? Thanks

The wedding is in December so not long to find one!

What about a skirt like this paired up with a top like this you can lift up and have a pashmina or a black blazer to stay warm and use as a nursing cover if needs be?

I noticed Silkfred had a section for breastfeeding dresses. They are not “proper” breastfeeding like maternity clothes, but all the wrap and button up style dresses in one place which I thought was good. If not, just search on wrap dresses? Or separates so you can have a top that you can lift? Hope you find something.

I like the top and skirt idea- I’m still not a super confident feeder- it’s only been a week so I need something really easy

There is a group on Facebook called 'Can I breastfeed in it?' where loads of bfing mums share outfits they have successfully bf-ed in - I highly recommend it. And there's lots of occasion wear on there at the mo with the run up to Xmas.

I've been struggling with the same issue. Second the recommendation for the Facebook group 'can I breastfeed in it'. It's super useful.

I wore this dress m2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0509018003.html to a wedding last week and really liked it, plus it was easy to feed in. It comes up navy though; darker than in the picture. They also do it in black and you could add colour with shoes and accessories.

I used Asos for a September wedding this year. They have some nice nursing dresses atm. Some of them are a bit less fitted than the H and M dress. You do have to hunt for dresses that aren't obviously maternity wear. I just got loads and made use of their free returns. I also like their nursing bras.

Oh great thank you I’ll try the group
