Formaldehyde free jeans

My DH has developed eczema- like symptoms on his legs, and we think it could be related to the formaldehyde that is coated on to most jeans.
I'm trying to find jeans that don't have this, but they are very hard to track down - the only ones he's found are around 250 pounds!
Does anyone know any stockists, or got any tips / hints to help deal with this?
He doesn't really want the silk long johns I have suggested as a barrier, as he hates being hot.

You want organic fabrics. Theyre generally formaldehyde free. Heres some for £30 : m.esprit.co.uk/stretch-jeans-in-organic-cotton-997EE2B800_902?referrer=search

disclaimer Im neither a chemist or doctor so my very basic information is from general internet searching for a similar product for an eczema sufferer I have at home. Blush

If ditching formaldehyde doesn’t improve things, your dh could consider patch testing to isolate exactly what is causing the reaction. I live abroad and saw a private dermatology consultant so not sure how it would work in UK, but would definitely recommend.

Reinette, thank you very much for that link. Will give it a go!
Pineapple, yes, I think that's the next step.
