First job interview in 20 years - what to wear?

So I applied for this job 3 months ago, assumed I'd failed, and today they email inviting me for interview in 4 days' time

If I focus on writing the presentation I need to give, can you S&B guys find me something to wear? I don't even know where to start - jumper and trousers? Dress? Suit?

It's for a job in a lab so not super-smart. I'm size 10-12, pear shape. If I get the actual job, can't imagine I'll have to wear outfit again so cheap would be good.

Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

I would go with a plain semi-fitted dress and jacket.

Could be hard to be smart enough for interview in a jumper.

Good point, thanks. Just worried about being freezing because I have to get there on the bus Smile

So I'm pale-skinned and red-haired, I should probably aim for grey rather than black? I only have black heels but that'll probably work, right?

Perhaps if you go for something with some wool in it (unless like me you find it itchy scratchy)?

Yep a nice dress and a blazer is the way to go. I’m pale, fair haired and blue eyed, tend to go with navy over black which would probably suit you. Navy and black shoes is fine.
