Help!!!! Comfortable smart safety shoes

Has anyone seen any comfortable, smart safety shoes.
I work in an office but go onto the factory floor daily, I need a pair of safety shoes I can wear with suits and dresses, that's comfortable and smart. I've seen some wedges but suspect they aren't very comfortable.
Everything I've found is either to wide and clumpy or not smart enough.
I really like my toes not crushed Grin

What supplier does your company use? I suspect you won't have much choice beyond their range. You dhouldn't have to buy your own PPE.

If you need to wear safety shoes, then you need to wear safety shoes. No one will care that you are wearing them with a suit on this situation. Keep smart shoes under your desk if you really need them for non- factory work.

I feel your pain OP. I have to wear safety shoes too at work, although I tend to wear jeans so it doesn’t matter about them being smart. They’re really not pretty though. I would just get the least ugly pair your work will pay for and just keep them under your desk to change into. I’m sure Arco do slip-on type ones. Don’t buy them yourself.

Wow thank you everyone I had thought no one would respond.
I'm literally the only woman there so they've not supplied women's shoes before! Been searching on websites but a few only seem to go up to 5 (cause women's feet are obviously never bigger than thatHmm)
Luckily I can spend what I like, I know I shouldn't care what they look like but don't want to be constantly switching shoes I'm in and out of the factory a lot.
Comfort will be the main thing since my last baby I've gone really flat footed and have to wear insoles and lace ups.
Duck thanks for the link.

I had this exact dilemma. I put a plea out on LinkedIn for some none bulky, heavy boot type that made my legs ache.... I’ve ended up with some of these:

www.astonworkwear.co.uk/workwear/rock-fall-vx560-sapphire-ladies-slip-on-safety-ballet-shoe-with-midsole/?page=1&rt=/workwear-supplies/ladies-safety-footwear/ladies-safety-shoes

Still not pretty, but can wear with dresses & cropped trousers and not look daft!!

Sickoffamilydrama · 09/11/2017 23:30

Thank you Chopper they might work.
Maybe as a sideline we should make smart safety shoes!
And they'd all be black much as I like pink why oh why do they make all the women's ones pink or with pink trim Grin

Do you mean steel toe cap shoes ? I've got the nicest ones I could find which are from a diy place . They sell the exact same ones on eBay . I looked for ages , they are so ugly aren't they .. and heavy !! .. hang on I'll find them .

hendricksyousay · 05/12/2017 06:38

I've got the pink ones , I have to wear black wide leg trousers so you can't really see them that much .. the ones they gave me were soooo heavy and they ugly!!

Look for Doc Marten safety shoes and boots. They come in proper proportions for women's feet. I wear them with 'tidy' work clothes and they don't look absurd. Just make sure you get the correct rating. I was given a pair of boots by my workplace but they were just men's boots shrunk to a size 5, so too big on the vamp and ankle.
