Shift or Skater style dress needed

We are looking for a plain shift or skater style party dress with out sequins, patterns, texture etc. The shops are full of lovely dresses with patterns on them!

Its for my thirteen year old daughter (size 8 - 10) and she wants something plain and understated. Seems its much more difficult to get a little black dress than I thought! Help!

Yes, went to Next, Top Shop and New Look first, I think they don't have their Christmas dresses in yet, lots of sale rails though.
