Are Le Chameau wellies any good?

I'm looking for some wellies that are a little more versatile with the seasons than my neoprene muck boots and was thinking of le chameau wool lined boots. But at £130 wanted to know they really are good quality and will last (daily dog walks of a few hours on various terrains)
Thanks

Yes, they are the best quality. They last.

Very comfortable and a nice shape. Love mine!

I absolutely love my Vierzonord’s, definitely worth the money. I have found them to be super comfy and extremely hard wearing even with daily use over all types of terrain.

emma8t4 · 03/11/2017 18:10

Absolutely worth the money.

Ridingthegravytrain · 03/11/2017 18:25

Ahh that's fabulous thanks. I see it suggests the season they can be worn in. Is this for warmth rather than durability. I want some for Autumn/spring and it can be very wet and muddy. I was looking at the wool but the jersey lined are slightly less would they still be ok? I have my other wellies for the freezing days

So pleased to hear they are still of high quality!

They're worth the money!

Bigfatpicnic · 04/11/2017 20:34

The best wellies ever. They are head and shoulders above other wellies in terms of quality. I have Vierzon. They are so worth the money, jersey lined are fine, just have thicker socks if you really need to.

StealingYourWiFi · 04/11/2017 20:35

My outdoorsy brother and SIL swear by them!

Ridingthegravytrain · 05/11/2017 18:25

Excellent. I thought for the sake of £30 I'd splash out and get the wool ones. They are coming tomorrow!

Are Le Chameau true to size or do they come up big?

Dilemmacentral · 26/08/2018 06:05

Yes I’d like to know as I’m about to splurge! What’s the sizing like please. I’m 5.5, do I go up to 6 or down to 5?

Thanks

I'm going against the grain here but I think the quality has dropped over the last ten years. I've had two pairs in the last 5 years, both broken within 18months of buying. My partner has a pair he bought 15 years ago and they are still going strong. They are the comfiest wellie I've ever had though, so do have that going for them.
I'm not sure what else I'd suggest as other brands seem to have gone downhill recently as well!

Cakefairy1978 · 26/08/2018 10:47

Brand alley have then in the sale at the moment.
I got aigle last year. Amazing. They feel like a walking boot rather than a welly

QuoadUltra · 26/08/2018 10:57

My DH adores his leather lined ones, wears them most days and wanted to buy me a pair last year.

When I tried them on I thought they weren’t neat enough on my feet or legs. They just weren’t really cut for women. So although they are good quality, I went for Penelope Chivers boots and kept my Hunters.

BiteyShark · 26/08/2018 10:58

I have a pair for dog walking in the winter. Absolutely comfortable.

Dilemmacentral · 26/08/2018 12:30

@wishingitwasfriday

They have a two year guarantee, so you should get a replacement?
