Can I wear this to a wedding?

This dress

I know some would say no black to weddings but thought it may be ok given that it's black mesh over a nude colour? I'd wedding-ise it with silvery cream shoes, a cream shawl and maybe a cream & black fascinator. It's a spring wedding (I am being unusually organised and thinking if I need to buy another dress I should do it now)

NB please don't say it's horrible and I shouldn't buy it, I already own it . Just hoping to avoid splashing out on another dress when I don't go to many weddings any more.

Oooh thanks everyone! Feel much better about it now. I love colour too so usually would go brighter, normally I'd agree about accessorising with red or fuschia but I may have pink hair by then (I do occasionally) so have to avoid those colours! Like the nude colour wrap idea though.

The dress is black overlay over nude/cream - it does look bronzey in pic but not real life.

ohyes it's phase eight - currently in the sale too. I got it a year ago in the sale in fact so can only assume it hasn't been too popular...
The overlay is admittedly quite an odd fabric - quite plasticky and stiff and sort of squashy. But it does look really nice on!

P.s. I'm now worried you're all going to buy it and wear it to my cousin's wedding

I'd accessorise with the nude/cream colour of the underskirt. Or a contrasting bright.
