Bought Aldi’s Lacura 3D Effect Mascara on the recommendation of a friend, who swears it’s as good as the Big Brands. At only £2.49 it would be rude not to!
I’m usually a Dior mascara girl, but they have discontinued Extase, which was my go-to. So I gave the Lacura a try. Here’s my verdict:
Pros:
- Price - £2.49 - it’s a bargain
- good coverage with no clumping
- reasonable staying power (I wouldn’t wear it in a sauna or to a funeral)
Cons:
- only comes in black
- has quite a strong smell (I can smell it when wearing it)
So on the whole, I would score it 7/10. It’s brilliant value for the price. I don’t think you’ll get a better value budget mascara - and I’ve tried many.
