Christmas party flat shoes

I need some ideas for shoes for a Christmas party. I'm thinking of flat shoes because I just can't walk properly in heels.
The party is at a racecourse so i want to look smart. I'm going to wear a black body con dress.
I was thinking of these shoes

Or something similar.
Any thoughts?

Are you wearing tights too, or bare legs?
Those shoes are a bit dullsville to me, sorry.
You can get flats that have a bit more sparkle/glitz/occasion about them.
Boden?

John Lewis.

Bare legs otherwise I might look like I'm off to a funeral.
I love a bit of sparkle. I think I could probably manage low heels but I'm like bambi I'm high heels Grin

What about some of the Manolo Blahnik-inspired flats that are around at the moment? www.dunelondon.com/mobile/briela-brooch-trim-flat-shoe-1137503940004011/

These are the M&S ones as featured by a few bloggers recently. Think you can get black or charcoal grey instore: www.marksandspencer.com/jewel-trim-ballerina-pumps/p/p60122676?image=SD_01_T02_5756_DK_X_EC_90&color=MAGENTA&prevPage=plp

I love the m&s ones, the colour is fab.
I am a bit nervous of pointy shoes as I have huge feet for my frame - think Sideshow Bob.
I might venture out and see what the m&s ones look like on my feet.

Ohhh, some good ideas here for me to.
I'm also at a racecourse for my Christmas party and don't fancy falling flat on my face in heel's!

CountFosco · 03/11/2017 16:29

M&S wide fitting pointy shoes are OK for wide feet. I've seen [[
www.jigsaw-online.com/product/clarence-flat-shoe/J34263_GN011 Jigsaw]] pointy flats recommended before. If you want a ballet shoe then French Sole have a good reputation. Most shops let you search online for flat shoes and the choice is much bigger than in the shops.

What's your budget and what colour do you want? And what is the rest of your outfit like?

CountFosco · 03/11/2017 16:39

Not quitw sure what happened with that Jigsaw link! Clarence.

Countfosco thank you! I have been searching all month for Christmas flats in that court and style and totally missed those. Ordered!

Colour not court

fairgame84 · 03/11/2017 17:14

Thanks countfosco.
My feet aren't wide they are long. Long and skinny, they are not pretty Sad

I'm wearing a black bodycon dress so I wanted to add colour with shoes and accessories. I'm open to any colours. Budget is up to £75.

French Sole looks good thanks.

I'm thinking of going for these and getting a more interesting dress.
