I wonder why they were £6?

I always, ALWAYS ask myself that question, if I’m tempted to buy something so barginous.

PolkaDottyRose · 03/11/2017 18:27

They were £6 because not many people bought them..perhaps because they were put off by comments like those on this thread..which means people didn't get as far as trying them on and discovering that they are actually really flattering..which now means that people who can ignore said comments can get a great bargain.

LightastheBreeze · 03/11/2017 18:38

They do seem to have reduced a lot of stuff by quite a lot, I may have to do some early morning stalking of the site Grin

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 03/11/2017 18:50

You haven't asked for fashion advice but I'll give it anyway!

I think they'd look better a bit shorter if you're going for that look. They'd be easy to take up. Also worn with either some long heeled boots (with trousers over) or bare legs and white pumps or clumpy loafers.

In the summer they'd look great with a fitted vest and flip flops.

Ladybirdbookworm · 04/11/2017 00:53

I've got these too ..... OP maybe we are just too cool to care

If you took them up they would look stupid, as you would lose the "unfinished edge", which is sort of the point of them.

prettypaws · 04/11/2017 05:14

Asides from current fashion opinion I don't think it's 90s style.

Back then you were made fun of if your trousers were a bit too short, they were 'budgied'. Camel toe and budgies were not acceptable then. Pedal pushers and cropped trousers were cool shorter styles of the 90s.

OtterInDisgrace · 04/11/2017 05:14

I like them, but as others have said, mostly kindly, they’d be much better with a flip flop, and that’s borne out by the marketing photo.

SashaFiercesMum · 04/11/2017 09:00

I'm just thankful to OP for making me aware of the site. Never again shall I pay full price for clothes. Thank you Dancinggoat !Flowers

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 04/11/2017 09:14

I like them! I tried on the blue ones in the shop when they were full price, faffed about deciding for ages, and then didn’t get them. At £4 I’ve just ordered. Thanks OP Smile

GinandGingerBeer · 04/11/2017 10:41

These were all over Instagram in the summer. All the instamums had them, they look great with trainers or flat sandals. Nice bargain OP.

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 04/11/2017 11:26

Yes, myfashionable40s has the green pair I think.

Dancinggoat · 04/11/2017 14:31

I’ve not heard of myfashionable40s it looks good. Glad more people have got bargains. This is great.

Put some jam on your shoes and invite your trousers down for lunch! Being a tall child/teen I spent most of the 90s with slightly too short trousers. This would cause all sorts of flashbacks!

GilligansKitchenIsland · 04/11/2017 15:00

Don't love them, but they are very "now" - I have a few colleagues (younger and trendier than me!) who would love them.
Do love people who share a bargain though! Grin Thanks OP! I'm off to see if they have anything I could carry off more my style in the clearance Smile
