I’m looking for a navy velvet midi or maxi dress with long sleeves but so far have scored a miserable fail in my searches. Any ideas please? Xxx

Googled 'navy velvet dress' and found a few - including one in monsoon. Not as nice though

I NEED that metisu dress! HAve you bought from them before PerspicaciaTick, what are the sizes like? I'm usually an 8 in dresses, but I'm quite curvey, so sometimes need a 10 in shops that come up smaller. I can't really afford to buy 2 to try sizes and return one at the moment. That dress is perfect for me!

By which I mean, how accurate would you say he size charts are? Looking at them it could be a problem as the small would be slightly too big in the waist as it is, but I'd need a medium for the chest. Bugger. I NEED it!

Yes Herja I was just reading that size chart too (gorgeous vintagey dress!). They're quite "straight up and down" sizes.

They are, which is silly, I think it would look better on a slightly curvey body. The model is in a medium with a 23inch waist and it doesn't look stupidly pulled in. I think I'd need a medium for the sleeves anyway. I'm going to try it in that and pray...
