For Thanksgiving I don’t want to take too much or spend loads of money before I get there. I’m guessing most nights we will go out for dinner straight from the day walking about. I’m not sure how dressy up Thanksgiving dinner is? We are going to a place in Greenwich Village then plan to find a bar in the area.

It’s very exciting even though I’ve been before. I’m guessing there really is nothing worth bringing home the way the rate is?

Well it’s nice to see that the real sjp isn’t a slave to fashion when it comes to New York Winters judging by the paps. I’m totally curious to see that listed mansion in Greenwich Village she’s renovating apparently it was a bargain at $40 million. Bloody hell what must these houses be like inside they don’t even look that huge outside.

Those houses tend to have a small frontage on the street but then go back a long way, if that makes any sense. It makes for some odd layouts and floor plans.

I live in a house out in the woods now. It's a lot more spacious and quieter. Smile

Sounds like a movie

If you're a SATC / Sarah Jessica Parker fan, nothing beats the dirt on Page Six

Page Six on SJP

I assume you mean that the city houses sound like a movie. The only movie my house would be in is Teenage Nightmare on Elm Street.

Yes we do! And life with two teenagers is scary all by itself.

I'm sure you'll find great deals on Sephora and at Vickie's that weekend.

I just got back from NY... fab time. Found food to be expensive! My DD bought half of Sephora stocks!

MissConductUS · 31/10/2017 00:21

Sorry about the food prices. The exchange rate isn't great right now for you Brits.

What was the highlight of your visit?

youngestisapsycho · 31/10/2017 14:57

Not you're fault about food prices Smile
Going up the Empire State Building... something I've wanted to do since a child, and of course seeing the Statue of Liberty, we had a great cloudy sunset view. The usual touristy things... Wall Street, Grand Central station, Central Park, walked the Highline and Brooklyn Bridge. The 9/11 memorial was amazing and very sad. Didn't see as much as I'd have liked with 2 kids moaning about walking!

MissConductUS · 31/10/2017 15:00

It sounds like a great visit! The 9/11 Museum is amazing. I was about a mile away that day, so it's quite emotional for me too.

Thanks for coming to visit the cousins! Smile
