Dress suitable for work and funeral!

Hi

I’m looking for a dress to wear to a funeral but that would also be suitable for work. My office is ‘office wear’ so I normally wear suit dresses

I’m size 8-10 but with a bit of a tummy that needs hiding! I’m 5ft3 and find that petite tends to fit better

Can spend up to £100 but would prefer to be less

Thanks for any advice x

Unless the family have specified a dress code then any 'office wear' outfit in a sober colour should be absolutely fine. I've been to a fair number of funerals and the main thing is just to wear something smart but unobtrusive that doesn't draw attention to yourself.

If you wear suit dresses for work then I'd be very surprised if you haven't got something suitable in your wardrobe right now. It's not like me to try and talk someone out of buying clothes but if you do buy something specially for the occasion there's a real danger that you'll always think of it as your funeral outfit and won't want to wear it again.

I'm sorry for your loss and hope all goes well.
