Eyebrows - semi permanent!

Just had mine done today so thought I would share in case anyone was thinking about it!
I had the digital machine ones so not microblading, done with one needle but a bit like a tattoo. Painful but I'm a wimp anyway. Took a couple of hours but most of that was measuring and drawing, and they last around 4 years

Ooh, can we have a picture? I'm really tempted but terrified I'll look like I have sharpie brows for 4 years!

Here you go they will fade and soften but this is about 10 mins after

The woman who did it is around £380 usually I think but i was a model for a trainee so no charge. I have to pay £100 for the top up but that's it

Jealous! Might have to look up if there's anywhere near me doing it. What is the technique called?

They look great! So did you have to pluck all your eyebrows off first? Or is it just done on top of them iyswim? Where did you have them done?

Done on top, I have hair but it's v v pale, and no plucking/shaving involved!

Was done by Olivia Naylor based in Prestwich area. Think it's known as digital hair stroke or micro pigmentation

I had mine microbladed a week ago and they look really good, however they’ve faded at the moment so just waiting for them to come back. I go back in 5 weeks to get them finished

THIS is the thread I’ve been waiting for. I’ve finally decided to do something about my none existent eyebrows. It seems they make you look really groomed and I’ve been Loki g back at my holiday snaps and noticed for the first time that I have none. Just a eyes and a nose and mouth, NO eyebrows!

So what are all the options out there? I’ve tried threading bla bla bla, rubbish. I’ve heard of microblading but OP’s method that lasts 4 yrs sounds ether. My local eyebrow store said microblading lasts about a yr? so it seems this digital business is the right way to go.

I don’t want anything as dramatic as OP’s as I think I’ll look silly, just old fashioned type eyebrows will do. OP how frequently do you need to top up and how much does it cost?

The woman I went to is £380 ish for the appointment and that includes your top up, not sure how much top up is after that, I think she said £200 ish

SuccessStory I would recommend that the first thing you do is go to a beautician for a tint and shape - explain what you want to achieve (take Pinterest pictures if necessary!) and talk it through first. Explain that with the tint, you want to start quite naturally - not dramatic, and maybe up it from there. They can always make them darker if need be, but if they come out too dark, it’s juat a waiting game!

Then once you’ve found a shape and shade that you’re happy with you’ll have a starting point for potentially having them microbladed or whatever. Just don’t leap in with tattoos or microblading first off!!

Laquila - Thank you sooo much for all that advice. I’ll pay attention to all that and start with the tinting armed with shape photos.
Is it advisable to have it at any of the local eyebrow places or does one have to find a ‘specialist beautician’?

Generally any local beauty salon will offer out as a service but I’d ask around for recommendations and try and choose someone who doesn’t have over-dramatic brows herself!! (Or himself, obvs)

I tinted mine this afternoon - it isn’t complicated but it would be tricky if you’d never seen it done before or didn’t really know what you wanted to achieve.

The tint will usually fade quite a bit over the first few days (it can look a bit scary to begin with!) - I generally like mine best about a week in.
