Animal friendly styling product?

I had my hair chopped into a pixie having previously had long hair.. I now find myself needing a good styling product so I'm looking for suggestions. My hair is quite thick..

I would prefer to buy a cruelty free product.

I don't use any products specifically for short hair but I've been pleased with the Phil Smith range sold at Sainsburys. Leaping bunny approved.
