I ask because I just can't. I have wavy fine hair which is very greasy so has to be washed daily. So having it long it too much hassle. It's in a chin length bob currently.

If I wear it naturally wavy I feel I look messy. If I straighten it it looks flat and blah. If I have a fringe I worry it looks like I have too much hair in my face, if I pin my fringe out my face then I think I look like a six year old.

Help!

Yeah, kind of. I had short hair for years but now it’s shoulder length and I’m really enjoying it. Can tie up in casual pony with bits sticking out. More gentle for me now than my previously shorn “do”.

Op, have a chat with a good hairdresser who’s prepared to work with your hair. If you spot someone in the street, ask where they have their hair done, if you love it. It also depends on lifestyle. I don’t have to look to polished, these days, so a messy updo is fine for me.
