Earthy red lipstick

Can anyone recommend an lovely earthy deep red lipstick which isn’t matte nor too glossy?
I’ve got a couple of the Mac matte ones but they dry my lips out and end up very patchy and awful looking.

Bobbi Brown Semi Matt Lipstick I’m Burnt Red is your friend. It’s always in my make up collection.

I’ve googled it but it looks a tad orangey in the photos

I don’t find it to be orangey - more brown tbh but everyone’s definition of colour is different!

Here’s a picture of my much used one.

Another option is Charlotte Tilbury Matt Revolution formula- I have 6 of her lipsticks. My CT reds are Love Liberty and Walk of Shame (Bond Girl is my favourite - but probably not red enough for you).

I note there’s a new special edition colour- Shanghai Nights that might fit the bill.

The formula is Matt but I don’t find it at all drying.

Might be worth a look.

Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick, 001 Cheap, cheerful and a good dark earthy red. Or do you want to go browner?

Oh good idea - actually love Charlotte Tilbury stuff so might give her a whirl even though was hoping not to spend that much !

That Bobbi Brown is gorgeous. It's a colour I've been looking for for ages. Glad I stumbled on this thread.

MAC’s Dare You looks browny earthy red on me because I’m quite pale. And it a creamsheen texture so not dryin. At all.

Love the way she swatches lipstick.

Grrr.. Now I need a new lipstick. Might try the rimmel one before trying the bobbi brown. It looks lovely.
