Winter wedding guest, need cover up to stop me freezing!

I'm off to a wedding in December. I've decided on this skirt with a black vest/ cami. I need a cover up though as I will freeze in December in a vest!

What do you suggest - I'm a bit wary of over doing my inner ballerina!😉

Definitely need long sleeves!

Thanks all! fusion I'm generally 8-10 but my shoulders are quite broad so I usually need to try on jackets to make sure they're broad enough.

Apparently the bride is wearing a white fur jacket so don't think I'll be getting one of those.
Different colour might be possible, but not black. I don't like too much black for a wedding.

Grey?

Personally I like the contrast with a thick, chunky top and such a delicate skirt but understand it might not be for you!

TBH I think id rather have something more neat/ fitted. But I may well have started over thinking.... really want to get family's outfits sorted asap so can focus on Christmas shopping :)

Don’t know if the link will work but this is a Zara jacket on eBay.

I had a wedding last November. It was freezing. I bought a marabou shrug thing from eBay. It was so warm when we were standing about outside when having pics done etc. (Didn’t stop my legs getting cold but definitely kept my core warm).

I have attached a pic but cropped my boat race out of it.

Lovely ladies! Can any of you find something suitable... I've been going round in circles googling! 😬

If I can't get a cropped velvet jacket for under £50 - which seems very unlikely!
Or a grey faux fur jacket or fluffy cropped cardigan.

Feathers are too sneezy for dh and ds to be near me
Crushed velvet isn't my cup of tea

Or how do you feel about sequins and velvet for £35?

Thanks for all the suggestions frogsspawn!

I'm really tempted by a black velvet jacket, but is a black top and jacket too much black for a wedding?
I normally avoid black at weddings so feel a bit confused about whether black is ok with a full, coloured skirt? 😬

I'm currently trawling ebay as what I really want is a very neat, fitted jacket in navy blue or grey. I don't think I can find one in budget elsewhere.

There are cashmere cardigans (cropped styles and others) on sale at Pure Cashmere, plus they've got £10 off code.

Cashmere is a good investment IMO.
