Miracle foundation please

I'm slowly starting to accept I am no longer 23 (in fact I'm almost 40) and I need to update my make up - can you recommend a foundation, either cream or powder, that will disappear my wrinkles and even out my skin tone?? And last all day??

Estée Lauder double wear is good. I have psoriasis on my face and it covers it really well and lasts all day too :)

I don't know what your budget is, but I like Clarins Comfort Foundation. When I felt like I needed more coverage from foundation and a good colour match (I'm pretty pale and lots of foundation is just too orangey on me) I went to one of their counters and tried a couple of different ones to see how they felt on and what they looked like. Try to get a sample and wear it all day to see how it goes if possible.

i find DW just sits on my skin and is too thick. Even the light one.

Primer was a game changer for me, used to hate the stuff. But kiko skin trainer cc blur is like magic. Fills in pore's and wrinkles and then your make up sits really well. I have tried clarins instant smooth under make up and it gives the same effect. They have a brilliant and I mean brilliant face tan with the instant smooth stuff in it's my holy grail.
So I would start with a primer and try foundation samples to find one you love. I use YSL touche eclat foundation and rate it very highly.

I wear Dior Star when I want a bit more coverage, Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow (fluid) for when I want a glow and Clinique CC for when I'm doing a casual look and my skin looks good. I favor a fluid/liquid but have just ordered Elizabeth Arden's new bouncy compact foundation! I'm a stickler for a new product!

I think powder foundations often magnify wrinkles in older skin. I’m late 30’s and wore Bate Minerals original for years but now it looks awful on me. I’ve tried the new YSL All Hours one and loving it. Have a look at Hot and Flashy’s blog. She does loads of foundation reviews for mature (ie not 20 yr old) skin. Her fav is the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet which is lovely but not pale enough for me.

Oh I forgot to add I've recently become accustomed to adding a fine layer of finishing powder on top my makeup. Usually Benefit Dandelion or a powder by Pupa with a high water () content to stop it drying me out!

Edgar you mean the Bouncy? Not yet, it's arriving soon though! I'm hoping I love it as I'm desperate to flip it open and apply it in a seductive manner! 😂It just looks so gorgeous and I love the fact it is bouncy! I've looked for online reviews but have found only 1!

I'm the same buster have tried to find reviews but had no luck. It's between that and the ysl cushion but thought arden would give more coverage.

I'm going to say bare minerals bare pro. Only tried it for the first time today (see my thread) but am super impressed with it. It's quite a thin liquid with full coverage and seems to suit my 44 year old combination skin

Milk foundation. Was used by Thataylaa a beauty blogger who does Youtube videos. She has extremely pale skin and acne so you really see how well a foundation covers. The Milk Liquid Matte Foundation is incredible. It's not matte; it's thin and light (smells citrusy), full coverage; lasts all day and leaves a lovely glow. It is my new can't live without. The colour is a teeny bit dark for my super place skin but you don't really notice when it's on or I mix with a little of a paler foundation.

She tests all the new foundations ( and most of the old ones)
and has several series of Fifteen Days of Foundation where she tests a new one every day. Worth a check

Yes! I've been using Bourjois healthy mix too. I find it excellent. It has an unusual finish.
I'm 46 with fair skin. The range is quite 'yellow' but doesn't appear like that when dry.
As it isn't expensive- l'd recommend trying that first to see if you get a good result too.

Chantecaille do some lovely pale colours. I used to use prescriptives to get anything pale enough but now they no longer exist I use their oil-free gel foundation in porcelain which is great although expensive but I can’t find the same shade anywhere else

Bourjois health mix is good too. Maybe try a few samples in boots or Superdrug

Another vote for bourjois healthy mix, it leaves a dewy finish on dry skin and avoids a cakey look.

I really love this, it's light coverage but I've had lots of compliments!
