WARM THICK black socks for work?

I'd like some socks that I can wear with a suit at work so not big fluffy ones. But that are still warm for the winter.

Cotton or cashmere maybe?

I normally wear black cotton socks that you can buy in multipacks in tesco but they are too thin when I'm sitting at my desk.

I'd recommend merino. I bought some winter merino cycling ones from Vulpine in the sale (fiver a pair instead of twenty quid) and they are brilliant. Warm, comfortable, not at all sweaty and not chunky so fine with all my shoes. I've also had merino from John Lewis and they are fab too.

Costco does good black socks. They are a multipack and have lasted 3 winters now.
