So have ordered these boots. Really like them. I'm just struggling with how the bottom of the jeans go. Rolled up jeans in winter doesn't seem right, jeans not right just scrunched at the bottom, too much as come high up for an ankle boot, over the boot seems to be the only way. But

Help please! Or do I return them!
They looked ok with skirts but I did like jeans.

Try jeans in the petite range (even if you’re not very short) as they will end higher up the ankle? You can always roll jeans up once to make them shorter but still inside the boot. Definitely not jeans over the boots, I don’t think that will suit!

Good idea I just didn't want to spend any more money!

I just let mine rest where they are rather than tucking in or rolling up. So they’re a bit a scrumpled but still look fine. Definitely not over the boot or tucked in IMO.
