Wearing brogues with cankles

I really want some 😭 I mostly wear thick tights with dresses/swing skirts and dress quite vintage but I’m a bigger girl with big calves/ankles.

Would they look really stupid?!

Would these from clarks outlet work? Brogue style but ankle height.

Well I have bigger calves and ankles and I wear them, so if you like them, go for it.
I liked them so much I bought another pair so I now alternate between tan and black patent Hamble Oaks from Clarks. My feet have never been so comfortable

I think they will be fine.

Slightly sturdier shoes work well with my sturdy lower legs.
