Wanna help me pick a dress for BIL's wedding?

BIL is getting married soon-ish. It'll be a fairly fancy affair. I need a new dress.
Last wedding I went to I had a lovely cobalt blue tulip dress (with pockets!) from coast. I loved it!

Would thing be suitable for a winter wedding guest? And if so, what could I wear with it to keep warm?

Any suggestions on dresses/ accessories gratefully received. I do not like dress shopping!

Gorgeous dress. The safe option for shoes/bag is navy or nude/pink. The daring option is yellow. I'd go one safe, one daring. Don't have bag and shoes matching.

You'll need a jacket as well, either a fairly classic navy jacket or something fake fur in navy or pink? Fake fur I. Yellow might be a bit much!

Think since the dress is quite a statement I'd keep jewellery quite simple.

Not keen on that one- the gathered bits aren't for me. And it's too £££. Weddings are few ans far between at the minute so no chance of a second wear to justify the £

That's a definite maybe. I like navy. Will it be weird if dh and ds are in navy suits and dd has a navy dress too? (Dd's isn't bought yet but she's been pretty picky for a 6yo!)

JolieMoi have LOADS of lovely dresses, and you can buy them from the website for a big discount (presumably the ones that didn't go in concessions). I got an £80 for £25 for an upcoming wedding.

I don't think too much navy would be odd, especially if accessorised differently.

Will check out jolie moi - it's a bit hard to spot how to filter the dresses by size/ colour so will save that for another day. Thanks!

Have you tried ebay for pricier brands (Reid's, Whistles etc)?
If you're not keen on wearing used clothes, you can choose to see only 'Brand New With Tags'. You can search by size etc and it will also suggest other brands you may not have thought of. The only downside I can think of is no ability to return if you don't like it. But you can always relist it yourself.
May be worth a peek?

Ebay is no good as I am definitely between an 8-10 and sometimes a 12 if it's cut small across the back. So I'd need to try and return.
Relisting myself is a pita which I don't have the time to do properly to guarantee getting my money back iyswim.

I can't spend more than about £75ish. As I'll need shoes, jacket/wrap and then there's dh and the dcs to kit out too.

What shape are you OO?

I was at a wedding recently and apart from the beide’s dress, the nicest dress there (unfortunately not one I was wearing!) was a midi length tulle skirt and a sparkly top. There were other variations of this but the lengths were too short. The midi looked classier and prettier. It really stood out.!

In 5foot 2, size 8-10. Fairly broad shoulders for my size. Long body short legs.
I'll probably wear a small ish heel but I expect I'll be in charge of several children (mine and those of bridesmaid) so won't go very high plus I hate heels

What do you suggest? I'm out of ideas and feeling very in inspired. :(
