What to wear with leather skirt?

So, very rare night out for cocktails coming up with my best pal. I’m nearly 40 and now an apple due to too many snickers (and wine) surviving the first three years with twins.

I do have good legs and tend to be a bit...alternative.

I’ve got a nice short leather a-line skirt I’m going to wear with chunky ankle boots and opaque tights.

What do I wear on top please? It can’t be tight, my tummy can’t be on show

Silk top/vest?

A slogan or band t-shirt with a biker jacket?

I wear my leather minis to death at this time of year.

For going out my favourite tops to pair with them are:

Band tees

Some kind of metallic slouchy tee tucked in - love combining the leather with another full on texture.

Long sleeved high neck black lace victoriana style top with black skinny strap vest underneath.

A dressier stripey t-shirt/top

Vintage tops - just found an 80's beauty in a charity shop this week. Black knit with cobalt and pink roses and batwing sleeves.

I often wear mine with a loose silk shirt, just go for a colourful one or a print rather than white - I have been mistaken as bar/wait staff in the latter.

This is the top I have, it was from Warehouse a few years ago. Looks really lovely with a vest/cami underneath rather than the boob tube in the picture.
