Costume jewellery revive

I have so pretty but tarnished silver looking costume jewellery how can I make it shine again?

I know the answer, but have forgotten. Post in housekeeping thread and someone will tell you the exact ingredients and proportions. I have cleaned 1930s 'white metal' jewellery successfully, but can't recall whether the recipe came from antique dealer mates or MN.

Invest in a silver cloth.

If it's chain or intricate I'd just drop it into a jewellers for polishing. They use an ultrasonic machine which is far quicker and more effective.
